New School in the Hunt for Florida Hoopster

The last time we talked with Montevedre Academy coach Kevin Sutton, 6'10 senior Idongesit Ibok had a final 5 of Virginia Tech, Georgia, Charlotte, Florida State, and Depaul, now he is down to 4, with one being a new school to the hunt. Who is it?

"He's visiting Michigan State," Sutton said. "(Assistant coach) Doug Wojcik and (Head) Coach (Tom) Izzo have done a great job in a short time."

Ibok has already visited Virginia Tech and Georgia earlier this month, and those two along with Charlotte, who is scheduled to receive a visit May 7, according to Sutton, round out the Nigerian native's Final Four.

Georgia recently received their 8th commitment in the last two years from Wisconsin big man Dave Bliss, but with the 5/8 rule coming up for review and possibly being eliminated, Georgia is still in the mix to receive Ibok's signature.

"Obviously, being a strong student, he's looking for a school with strong academics," according to Sutton, who said Ibok wants to major in International Business. He also said a "family atmosphere", and comfort with the coaching staff will play a role in the decision.

Sutton said a Ibok will select a school after the visit to Charlotte next weekend.
