Washington Visited UGA; Postpones Pack

WR officially visited UGA last weekend (against AU) and he will have to re-schedule the Wolfpack.

Richard Washington, a super receiver prospect from Ft. Myers, Florida, did not make his official visit to NC State. Instead, he stayed home to recuperate.

"We played Ft. Lauderdale (Fla.) St. Thomas Acquinas on Friday night in the playoffs," said Washington. "We lost 21-7. Nobody gave us a chance. We played them so hard. I left everything on the field. I had 12 tackles on defense. I couldn't move after the game. I thought I was going to have to go to the hospital. There was no way I could visit NC State. I was hurting and I still feel it."

Washington, 6-1 and 170 pounds, has already visited Ohio State and Georgia. He visited UGA (11-10) officially for their home game against Auburn,

"Georgia was nice. I went with my buddy (DiShon) Platt. It was a good visit. I like the players and coaches a lot. But it didn't top my visit to Ohio State. It looks like I will visit Florida, Florida State and Georgia Tech unofficially. I will re-schedule NC State and I would like to set up visits to Tennessee and Notre Dame. My mom wants me to go visit Notre Dame. Right now, Ohio State and FSU are my two favorites."

Washington caught 20 passes for 6-5 yards and scored 9 TDs on the season. He also had 3 interceptions on defense.
