Dawgs get first 2005 commit

Georgia picked up it's first verbal commitment this afternoon.

According to Coach Marchman at Burke County High School, FB/LB Marcus Washington has informed him that he will commit to Georgia this afternoon.

"I'm pretty sure he's going to commit. I talked with him at lunch and he said that he'd call and tell them after practice tonight," Coach Marchman said.

According to the AD, this is a dream come true for Marcus.

"He's always wanted wanted to go to Georgia."

Georgia was the 4th team to extend the Burke County standout a scholarship offer.

"He had offers from Alabama, Auburn, and ECU since last week. Coach VanGorder and Coach Fabris from Georgia came by yesterday and offered." We will attempt to speak with Marcus himself later tonight.
