Update 2002 – Michael Turner

Georgia is looking at tight end Michael Turner, is he looking back?

Georgia, Clemson and Arkansas have all offered Michael Turner a scholarship to play next season. However all three have competition from Ohio State, Ole Miss, and Michigan when it comes to landing Turner.

Turner indicated that he camped at Michigan this summer and that he has "not been to Ohio State yet."

"I went to Clemson for the Virginia game. We are probably going to set a visit with Georgia, but we not real sure yet about when. Coach Johnson has been recruiting me for Georgia," said Turner. Turner goes to school at Brookwood High School, which is only an hour from Athens.

Turner indicated that Auburn and Alabama have "cooled down" their interest in him recently. But he did add that Georgia's Coach Johnson had been calling him "quite regularly."

Brookwood is no longer playing as a result of some losses in the regular season, which eliminated them from any hopes of the playoffs.

Turner indicated that he does not have a clear favorite right now. He still has trips to make and Georgia is more than likely going to get a visit from him.
