3 Offers and Counting

Brandon King is a name on the rise in the Peach State. He plays QB in high school, but will move to the defensive backfield at the next level. King currently holds 3 offers and more should be on the way this summer.

"I have offers from Georgia Tech, Maryland and Duke right now. My coach has told me that Auburn, Clemson, Georgia and Florida said they'll offer me if I come to camp," Brandon King said.

Who's made the Central Georgian's list of favorites to this point?

"I like Georgia, Florida State, Florida, Auburn and Clemson the most. Georgia is still my leader."

Why are the Dawgs on top?

"It's the closest school to home. I really like Coach Martinez and Coach Richt and I feel like every time I go up there I get to know the players more and more."

What stands out about the other teams on his list?

Florida State: "I talked to Coach Bowden a couple of times. I really liked Coach Kirby Smart but he left for LSU. I've always liked FSU though."

Florida: "I just like Florida. It's a big D1 school and I love how Zook is so intense."

Auburn: "I like their colors. I've always just liked Auburn as well."

Clemson: "I like Tommy Bowden. I've been there a couple of times and I like the town."

What is King looking for most in a school?

"I just want to find a city I like. I also want to know how early I can play. I just want a chance to compete."

What does Brandon feel his biggest adjustment will be when he makes the move from QB to DB?

"I know I can run so that will help me immediately. I'll have to perfect my tackling especially in run support."

Despite standing just 5'11 182lbs currently, King is as strong as they come.

"I've gotten my bench up to 335lbs and I can squat 405lbs now."

The Warner Robins native will be busy on the summer camp circuit.

"I've already talked to Kyle Moore and we are going to go to a ton of camps. We'll be at Florida, Maryland, Georgia, Auburn, Florida State and Clemson."

Brandon King is a definite one to watch as the year progresses.
