Big GA OL Still Taking it Slow

Chris Scott is one of the top OL's available in the south for the class of '05. So far through the process he's been hesitant to name a leader. Is he any closer to narrowing his list down yet?

"I'm still taking a look at everyone pretty much. I just want to be patient and make a good decision," Chris Scott said.

Does the Hot 100 OL have a target date for a final decision?

"I'm going to try and have it down to a top 8 by the end of the summer. I'll make my decision by late January."

What is most important to Scott when picking a school?

"Academics is the #1 thing. I also want to come in and contribute early within my freshman or sophomore seasons. I'll also look at campus environment and the facilities."

With such a diverse spectrum of schools throughout the country on his list, distance from home can't play that much of a factor. Might it come into consideration when it's time to make a decision however?

"I don't really think so. I wouldn't mind going off and seeing some things outside of Georgia but I would like to be close enough to home so my family and relatives can watch me play."

What will the Lovejoy star be trying to improve upon the most this summer?

"I really want to get better with my footwork and be bigger, stronger and faster. Our summer workouts at the school start on Monday and we'll do that every Monday, Wednesday and Thursday. I have also talked with a personal trainer that works with my mom about my nutrition and other things."
