Offers Aplenty for Georgia Athlete

Kenny McKinley of South Cobb High School has several offers and a Top 5. Who are the teams that he is considering early?

Kenny McKinley is a 6'1, 175 pound Quarterback that runs a 4.47 40 out of South Cobb High School. He has offers from Duke, North Carolina, Illinois, Air Force, Eastern Kentucky, Tulane, East Carolina, Vanderbilt and Southern Mississippi.

"I am getting letters and attention from everyone in the SEC and ACC with Georgia, Tennessee, Wake Forest, Auburn and Clemson recruiting me the hardest. Tennessee is recruiting me as an Athlete, but everyone else is telling me Quarterback first and if that doesn't work then I'll play Wide Receiver."

"Georgia, North Carolina, Tennessee, Duke and Wake Forest are my top five. I am looking for coaching stability, team togetherness and early playing time if possible when making my decision. I am also looking to play somewhere in the south, close to home."

When asked about camps this summer..."I attended Clemson's elite camp this past weekend. I worked 50% at quarterback and 50% at wide receiver. Overall the camp was alright. I am going to attend camp at Wake Forest this upcoming weekend, and then I'll be going to camps at Tennessee, Georgia, North Carolina and Duke to round out my summer."

McKinley's best position on the college level will be at wide receiver or defensive back, and his strengths show why.

"My strengths are speed, quickness and probably my biggest strength is just making something happen when nothing is really there. My strength and weight are probably my biggest weakness. I need to get stronger and add some weight."

McKinley's team goal this year is to lead his team to at least the second round of the playoffs. When asked about personal goals, he said "I don't have any. I don't worry about the personal stuff."

Last year McKinley had 1500 plus yards passing with 15 Touchdowns and 390 yards rushing with seven more touchdowns.

Kenny McKinley is in great shape academically. He has a 3.2 GPA and has already scored a 930 on the SAT.
