OMAHA – The Georgia Bulldogs were not announced as a national seed two weeks ago but they made it as far as a national seed should when they arrived in Omaha, Nebraska for the NCAA College World Series yesterday.

in tomorrow's first game. The Wildcats were more of a surprise than Georgia in making it to the CWS. They were not expected to get out of their Regional nevertheless they made it all the way to Omaha. However, they present Georgia with stiff competition to start the week long event.
But head coach David Perno says that his Bulldogs might be the surprise team when it's all said and done.
"They keep surprising me and going beyond my expectations and we don't want it to stop now," he said.
The Bulldogs will practice this morning before Perno heads to a press conference for all 8 coaches later this afternoon. Georgia's first game of the College World Series is Friday at 2PM. It will be televised by ESPN2.
