MSL Standout Picking Up Offers

LB Jamar Chaney was a standout at the MSL Combine in Gainesville, FL earlier this year. Although he had no offers then, he's certainly starting to rake them in now. Who has offered the Sunshine State native so far?

"So far I have offers from Georgia, Iowa, Maryland, Florida Atlantic and West Virginia," Jamar Chaney said.

Who has made his top 5 to this point?

"I like Georgia, Miami, LSU, Florida State and North Carolina State. I don't have a leader right now."

What stands out about each of his favorites?

UGA: "I like the campus a lot and how their coaches coached at their camp. They were real upbeat and agressive."

UM: "They really seem to know what they're doing with all the players they put in the NFL. It's also real competitive down there and I like that."

LSU: "They are the national champions. You can't say anything more than that."

FSU: "They are the hardest practicing team I've ever seen in person."

NCSU: "I've met McClendon, their running back before and I liked him a lot. I also like how they coach their linebackers."

What is Chaney looking for most in a school?

"I want a school that's near home and has my major which is marketing. I'm also looking at the overall football program in general."

Where will Jamar be camping this summer?

"I've already been to Georgia's camp once but I think I'm going back to their senior camp on July 9th and 10th. Our team went to the FAU camp last week, and I haven't decided if I'm going to anymore."

Chaney projects as a full academic qualifier.
