Defensive End has a Ton of Upside

Douglass High School in Atlanta, GA continues to put out Division One prospects year after year. This year is no different. The Insiders already have profiles on four Astro players (James Davis, Roderick Battle, Gregory Smith and Jarvis Smith) prospects and now it is time to learn about the fifth that also has impressive offers.

Brandon Sesay is a defensive end at Douglass High School in Atlanta. He stands 6'5 and weighs in around 250 lbs. At the Clemson camp he attended a few weeks back, Sesay claimed a 4.67 40 time. Brandon does 285 lbs on the bench and squats 315 lbs. He has been in and out of workouts this summer due to playing AAU basketball. He has picked up several impressive offers, and he names his favorites.

Who does Sesay have offers from?

"I have five offers. Georgia, Clemson, North Carolina State, Auburn and Ball State have offered me," said Sesay.

Due to basketball, attending camps have been very difficult, but he has attended one and plans to attend one more.

"I have been to Clemson, and that went really well for me. I am going to the Georgia camp July 9th and 10th, and that will be the only ones I can make this summer."

Sesay's offers are impressive, but what makes them a little more impressive is he has only played one year of football. That's right, just one. Going into his senior season, this will be his second season of football. He has always played basketball, but I think he finally realized that football may give him the best opportunity in the future.

Only playing a year of football Sesay said "I need to get more physical and stronger in the upper body. I get off the line very quickly and have strong hands, but I lack in pure upper body strength."

Brandon is really open to all schools right now, but did say this.

"Right now, I am really interested in UCLA, Georgia, USC, Clemson, Auburn and Florida. They would be the schools I am interested in the most. I plan on taking things slow and focusing on football right now and not recruitment. I will take my visits and decide sometime after my senior year."

What will factor into Sesay's decision?

"The main things are academics. They have to have my major (marine biology). Then, it will be about me feeling comfortable with the coaches, environment and players."

Brandon's on track academically and plans to take both the SAT and ACT in September. This is someone who's stock could soar his senior year, so make sure you keep track of Sesay's recruitment right here on
