The Iron Dawgs in the Weight room

A first look at the Iron Dawgs in action this summer. These pictures are a free preview of many, many more to come this week and next, and we hope you consider becoming a Member of the Dawgpost!

David Pollack gets ready to do one of his reps on the dead lift. The lift is finished with a shrug.

Pollack finishes the lift with an emphatic toss to the ground.

There aren't many players in the country bigger or stronger than Max Jean-Gilles

Coleman Watson has been working with the tight ends this spring.

Watson finishes his lift.

Kregg Lumpkin weighs in at 216 pounds, and the bulk of the running duties could be places squarely on his shoulders.

How has Lumpkin managed to add such good weight? Hard work. That's 275 he is repping with resistance bands locked on either end.

Pollack works on his explosion with a jump to a stand with a weighted vest.

Few players made the drill look as easy as freshman Brannan Southerland. Southerland checks in at 235 pounds, and he has already enrolled in summer school. Dawgpost Members, wait until tomorrow when you see a picture of Southerland in the sandpit. Few freshman looks as physically ready to play as the fullback from GAC.

Greg Blue has big shoes to fill with Sean Jones departing for the NFL, and he is working hard in the weight room and on the track.

Thomas Brown gets ready to fire the medicine ball. Brown is another highly touted freshman that has already enrolled in summer school.

Brown fires.

We hope you enjoyed a 1st look at the Iron Dawgs working out. There are a lot more pictures coming including the big men in the sandpits, running the field and much, much more. We hope you consider becoming a Member of the Dawgpost!
