Georgia QB Updates Top 5

Brandon Jones is a 6'1, 180 pound quarterback for Marietta High School. Jones is a returning starter, but he missed four games last year due to a shoulder injury. He has fully recovered and wants to make it hard on colleges not to offer him. Who has offered and who are his early favorites?

"Connecticut has offered me. I thought Georgia was real close until they got a quarterback commitment from Joe Cox," said Brandon Jones.

"A lot of schools are recruiting me, but Auburn, Alabama, Mississippi State, Notre Dame, Florida, Vanderbilt, North Carolina and North Carolina State are on me the most right now."

What are the strengths of Jones' game and what does he want to improve on?

"I would say reading defenses, distributing the ball and minimizing my mistakes are the biggest strengths."

"I definitely want improve on throwing on the run, my arm strength and becoming a better pocket passer."

Who's on Jones's early list of favorites?

"Florida, Georgia, Connecticut, Auburn and Alabama are my top five schools right now. I am seriously considering UCONN since they were the first to offer."

What is Jones looking for before making his commitment?

"I just want to wait and see what all the schools that offer me have to offer. Two main things will be team chemistry and playing time. I don't mind taking a redshirt or not playing right away, but I don't want to be a back up for three or four years."

Jones is on track to be fully qualified.
