Wansley Surgery Successful To Repair Broken Leg

<b>ATHENS</b>---------- University of Georgia senior defensive back <b>Tim Wansley</b> underwent successful surgery Monday to repair a broken fibula (lower leg) suffered in last Saturday's victory over Houston.

The surgery, performed by team orthopedist Dr. Robert Hancock, repaired the broken fibula and stablized a severe ankle sprain in his left leg.

Wansley is expected to be released from the hospital Tuesday and will spend the next eight weeks in a cast. Ron Courson, director of sports medicine at UGA, said he expects Wansley to have a successful recovery.
