Carlos Thomas is a member of the South Hot 100. All the schools are recruiting him as a wide receiver and one school wants him to play both receiver and defensive back. Florida was sitting as the early leader for Carlos Thomas' services, but have things now changed? Who are in his top five and better yet, who are his top two?
"My top five are Georgia Tech, Georgia, Arkansas, Clemson and Florida," said Thomas.
"Georgia Tech and Georgia are my top two though. They are my favorites."
What has put Tech and Georgia a top Mr. Thomas' list?
"My brother plays at Georgia Tech, so I have learned a lot about their program over the years, and one of the biggest reasons I like Tech is Coach Robinson. I really like him."
"Georgia, I know a lot of players there and I really like their Coaching Staff with Coach Garner and Coach Richt. They also want me to be like Champ Bailey and play both ways."
This Peach State athlete is a soft spoken, humble young man. He is not a man of many words and is not giving out many hints that could tip his hand. He did say that he plans to run track at whatever school he decides to attend.
He also says he doesn't mind playing both ways and he doesn't really prefer offense over defense or vice versa. He did say that he feels wide receiver is his best position.
Can we expect a commitment anytime soon?
"I think I will know for sure by the middle of the season."
Thomas has the GPA and SAT score to be fully qualified academically.
This could be a battle between the Jackets and the Dawgs, but don't ever count out those Gators, Razorbacks or Clemson Tigers.
