"It was a good visit to Georgia," said defensive end Marcus Jackson. "I had fun. Tony Gilbert was my host and he was pretty cool. We went to the banquet on Friday night. It was nice but it was long. It got pretty emotional when David (Jacobs) came in. He kind of surprised everyone. There were some tears in the audience. Overall, it was a good visit to Georgia. It was about what I expected."
Jackson, a defensive end from Norcross, Georgia, had January visits set up for Georgia Tech (1-4) and Florida State (1-18).
"I am shocked that Coach (George) O'Leary took the job at Notre Dame. I was supposed to visit Tech in January but I am going to put everything on hold with them. When a head coach leaves, it gets kind of shaky."
Jackson is considering Miami, Florida, Tennessee and Ole Miss for his last three visits, along with the Yellow Jackets.
