Update 2002: Jason Allen

Allen will move to the campus of his choosing next week.

Georgia and LSU continue to battle out for Jason Allen, with Tennessee pulling up the rear in 3rd place. All three schools have different plans for him.

"Tennessee is recruiting me as a wide receiver, LSU is recruiting me as a defensive back, and Georgia is recruiting me as both a defensive back and a running back."

Allen told me that LSU Head Coach Nick Saban was visiting him at his house tonight. He also indicated to me that Tennessee's Phillip Fulmer visited with him last Sunday night after he returned from Athens.

He called his visit to Athens "great." And he is ready to make his move soon, although he has not yet commented on where he will end up next week.

"I will be leaving Alabama next week. I plan on moving on either Tuesday or Wednesday of next week."

Allen is ready to go, will it be Georgia or LSU?
