Georgia's Waldo Terrell Earnes NFCA Regional Hono

National Fastpitch Coaches Association Award

ATHENS, Ga.---Georgia's women's softball complex and groundskeeper Paul "Waldo" Terrell were recognized earlier this month by the National Fastpitch Coaches Association as one of five regional recipients of the NFCA/Turface Grounds Crew and Field Maintenance Award for the 2001 season.

The softball field at Oklahoma earned the honor as the overall college/university winner, while Boston College, Louisville, Texas and Washington joined Georgia's Women's Athletic Complex as regional winners.

"It is such an advantage to have a grounds crew that keeps our field in a consistent playing condition for each game," said Bulldog softball coach Lu Harris-Champer.

This has been an excellent resume building month for Terrell, as he was named an Employee of the Month by the UGA Athletic Association in November.
