Injury Scare for Georgia Commitment

Antavious Coates, one of the top prospects in South Carolina, was carried off the field last Friday night. The injury has yet to be determined, but he will have an MRI done on Tuesday. Coates committed to Georgia about a month ago and there have been rumblings about Coates taking visits to other schools. How solid is Coates to Georgia and will he visit other schools?

"I am solid to Georgia," said Antavious Coates.

"At this time I don't think I will take any visits other than to Georgia. I am heading to Athens this weekend to see the Bulldogs play LSU. It will be an unofficial trip."

Are schools still recruiting Coates even though he is solid to the Dawgs?

"Yes sir…there are still a few schools recruiting me. The same ones really that were before I committed."

The injury to Coates' left knee is reported to be a possible ACL tear and that would put him out for the remainder of the season. He said they are trying to keep a positive outlook on the situation, but he will deal with whatever is dealt to him.

Coates has help lead Greenwood out to a 4-1 record halfway through the season.
