Georgia Adds Another Florida Commitment

Donovan Baldwin is a name not many are familiar with in recruiting circles, but the University of Georgia got an up close and personal look at him at their summer camp. The Bulldogs liked what they saw, and evidently Baldwin felt the same way.

"He committed to the University of Georgia," said American Heritage Head Coach Byron Walker of Donovan Baldwin. "He went up there for a senior weekend and was impressed. Georgia was the first SEC school to offer him, and he was impressed with that. He felt they were willing to make a commitment to him, and he made a commitment to them."

Georgia has a history with American Heritage.

"We also have the Brian VanGorder connection here. Coach VanGorder was the head coach here in the mid/late 80's."

What position is Georgia recruiting Baldwin for currently?

"He's being recruited to play a corner/safety combo. I think they'd like to make a big corner out of him, but he'll be playing in the defensive backfield."

Baldwin makes the second South Florida commitment to Georgia in as many days as Mike Moore made a commitment to the Bulldogs over the weekend.
