According to Tripp Chandler's mother, as expected, Chandler made a commitment to Georgia this week after getting a scholarship offer from the Bulldogs a week ago.
"He's already left to watch film this morning," said Mrs. Chandler,
"but he did commit to Georgia. It's been a lifelong dream of his."
Chandler said as much in and interview last week after he received the offer. It
was thought that he might be tempted to make a verbal on the spot.
"I've been a lifelong Georgia fan, so this is a dream come true," said
Chandler in an October 5th interview. Georgia is definitely in my Top 3, but I need to put aside being a fan, and look around at what would be the best situation for me."
It only took a week for Chandler to decide that his dream school was the best
situation for him, and he made a commitment to Georgia.
Chandler is the type of big athlete that can play any one of a number of
position on the next level. He has the size and skill to play tight end,
defensive end, or possibly even grow into an offensive lineman. Big athletes
that can run never go out of style.
Chandler had a break out game against Milton on Friday. The Southeastern
Scout.com team was on hand to video his performance. Look for highlights as well
as more from Chandler himself this week.
