Two Favorites and One Gaining for DL

Mam Nyang has had his eye on two top southern programs for some time and that remains the same. He visited one last weekend and plans to visit the other this Saturday. Nyang has yet to receive an offer from his two favorites, but is doing all he can to earn one from these two prestigious programs. Who are Nyang's favorites and who else is sneaking up?

"My top two are Georgia and Florida State," said Mam Nyang.

"I would also put Tennessee and Louisville with those two and say that is my top four right now."

(Editors Note: The score of the Louisville/Miami game was updated during Wheeler's game last night. When the score was announced at 24-7, Nyang joked, "I may have to go ahead and commit to Louisville after they beat Miami.")

The only one out of those four to offer is Louisville, but Nyang is working hard to gain one from the others.

"I am having a good season so far individually. As a team, we are kind of struggling this year. I am not sure of my stats, but I feel I have played pretty well."

Nyang took an unofficial to Georgia this past weekend and plans to visit the Noles when they host Virginia this upcoming Saturday.

"I had a great time at Georgia. I really like them a lot. I got to talk to Coach Bobo (recruiting coach), Coach Garner (defensive line coach) and Coach Fabris (defensive ends coach) and all of them were great. The whole atmosphere was exciting and I am really interested in Georgia."

"I am heading to Florida State this weekend if I can find a ride with someone. I hope to get down there and check them out and see one of their games. I just sent them the film they requested and since then they have been calling and writing more. I would like to get an offer from them."

Mam Nyang is a strong and physical defensive lineman who plays defensive end at Wheeler High School. Nyang will more than likely end up moving inside tackle on the college level. will keep you posted on what takes place with this 4 star Georgia DL throughout signing day 2005.
