Georgia Commitment Set for Surgery

Antavious Coates of Greenwood High School in South Carolina tore his ACL on his left knee about three weeks ago. He has since begun rehab and now has his surgery date set. Coates committed to the Georgia Bulldogs right before the season began, but has said he plans to take a few more visits. Is that still the case?

"My surgery is set for October 29th," said Antavious Coates.

"Since I found out about my injury, I have been rehabbing ever since. I am going to rehab twice a day and it is going good for me."

If all goes well, when does Coates plan to be back in action?

"The doctors are telling me I should be back to one hundred percent in the late spring of 2005."

Coates remains committed to Georgia, but does plan to take a few other visits.

"I am solid to Georgia, no doubt about that, but I do plan to go out and see a few other schools. I am really not sure which ones and when, but right now I do plan to take a few more visits. My Georgia visit is set for January 14th and that is the only I have set right now." will keep you up to date on Coates injury status and his commitment to Georgia.
