Southern Football Predictions

Dean Legge makes his weekly picks for the 23 schools in the South.

Mississippi State (+17) at Alabama
Straight up – Alabama
Points – Alabama
Comment – Tide should roll

------------------

Arkansas (+4) at South Carolina
Straight up – Arkansas
Points – Arkansas
Comment – Cocks never perform in November

------------------

Florida (-12) at Vandy
Straight up – Florida
Points – Florida
Comment – The wise guys might not like unranked road favorites, but Florida won't lose three in a row.

------------------

Georgia (-23.5) at Kentucky
Straight up – Georgia
Points – Georgia
Comment – The Bulldogs are much better than Kentucky, in fact they are about 24 points better – take the Dawgs

------------------

Notre Dame (+6.5) at Tennessee
Straight up – Notre Dame
Points – Notre Dame
Comment – It's hard for me to think the Vols are going to go 10-1 this season. Kentucky and Vandy won't beat them, so Notre Dame will. Even without an Irish upset they should play the Vols close.

------------------

Clemson (+17) at Miami
Straight up – Miami
Points – Clemson
Comment – Another big November for the Tigers? Perhaps, but there won't be another sunshine upset this week or year...

------------------

Georgia Tech (-7) at NC State
Straight up – NC State
Points – NC State
Comment – Tech is terrible

------------------

Maryland (+13) at Virginia
Straight up – Virginia
Points – Virginia
Comment – Cavs are still in the ACC hunt – might they let Maryland ruin their season? I'd be worried if I were them, but they should be fine.

------------------

Virginia Tech (-11) at North Carolina
Straight up – Virginia Tech
Points – North Carolina
Comment – Heels should keep it close at home, but they'll lose in the end.
