2nd SEC Offer for Georgia Athlete

A little over a week ago, E.J. Adams picked up his first offer from the Kentucky Wildcats. Just as fast as those papers came in the mail, another offer from an SEC program has arrived. Who is this offer from and does it put him closer to committing?

"I just got an offer from South Carolina," said E.J. Adams. "My film is getting out, coaches have come to see us (North Gwinnett) play and I am starting to get more attention. I know I have worked hard and it feels good to see offers coming my way."

What is South Carolina recruiting this versatile athlete to play?

"They like me as an athlete really. They say wide receiver or defensive back. I think Kentucky (his other offer) wants me more at wide receiver."

What other teams are showing interest in Adams?

"I am getting a lot more written letters and calls, but the team that is on me the most, but yet to offer, is Georgia. I hear from Coach Bobo about once a week now. I think they really like me as a defensive back."

With another offer safely in Adams' hand, is the word commitment running through his mind?

"No sir, not really…I still like Kentucky, South Carolina and Georgia as my top three right now. I plan on waiting a little longer to see what offers I pick up before deciding."

Kentucky is high on Adam's list not only because they were the first to offer, but he also has a cousin that plays for the Wildcats. Eric Scott, the starting tight end from Etowah, GA, is his cousin and has told Adams a lot of good things about Lexington. If that is not enough to get Big Blue running through his mind, Adams' teammate, Ross Bogue just gave Coach Brooks and Kentucky a verbal commitment last night.

E.J. Adams has done a little bit of everything for the Bulldogs of North Gwinnett this year and he will help them head to Walton for a second round play off match-up Friday night.

Scout.com will continue to follow this versatile Georgia Athlete through signing day 2005.
