Final 4 for 5 Star Athlete?

South Carolina's C.J. Byrd has had it down to five schools for a while now, but now it may be down to four. What has caused one school to fall off his list and what four schools remain?

"Georgia, USC, Clemson and Florida State are my final four," said C.J. Byrd. "I haven't totally ruled Florida out, but as of now I am not planning to visit them anymore. Coach Strong still keeps in contact with me and all, but I just don't see my going down there right now."

Byrd took a weekend off and just watched some games on television last weekend. Who all did he see?

"I missed the Florida State game, but I watched the Georgia and Florida games."

What did he think of Georgia's loss to Auburn?

"It didn't really surprise me. I think Auburn should be playing Southern Cal for the National Championship."

Does the Georgia loss affect Byrd at all?

"None, none at all. All teams will have bad games from time to time. I am not basing my decision on that game. I am not making my decision on wins and losses."

This Palmetto State Athlete still claims all four schools are even right now. He plans to take all four official visits before making his decision.

Byrd will be at the Clemson/South Carolina game this weekend and then travel down to Georgia to catch the Georgia/Georgia Tech game Thanksgiving weekend. After those last two unofficial trips, the officials will begin for Mr. Byrd. He does not have any scheduled at this time.
