National Hot 100 LB Trips to Georgia

Spencer Adkins is a member of the National Hot 100. This big time linebacker is looking at four schools in the south. Three are the big three in his home state, Florida and the other is Georgia. He took an official visit to Georgia this weekend and talks about that visit right here.

"Georgia really opened my eyes," said Spencer Adkins. "I knew it would be nice up there, but they surprised me. It was much better than I thought. The campus, dorms and facilities were all top notch."

What caught Mr. Adkins' attention at Georgia?

"The team and coaches first off. They are both real cool. They work hard together and have a great relationship. You can tell the players have a great work ethic and work real hard for those coaches."

"They know when to have fun and when to take it serious and go to work. They had a business like attitude which was impressive."

"I got to talk to all the coaches and they are straight up with me and up front. That means a lot and lets me know they are good people."

"Another thing that caught my attention was the Dawg Walk. That was live. Very impressed by the fan support and the atmosphere. Also, the academic building was top of the line. All the tutors they have for you really let me know they care about your academics."

"The whole visit went really well."

How would Mr. Adkins rate his visit to Georgia?

"It would have to be at least a nine or ten. It was great."

Adkins has had Florida State, Miami, Florida and Georgia in his top four for a while. Did this visit push Georgia closer to the top?

"I will have to take my other visits first before I can say who leads, but Georgia definitely caught my attention and I am looking them much stronger now."

"Florida has dropped down a little now since the coaching change, so my top three are Georgia, Miami and Florida State."

All four schools have in home visits scheduled with Adkins this week.
