Nick Kyles is 6-2, 190 pounds and a very talented wide receiver for Baldwin
High School. Kyles senior season has ended and several schools are starting to
turn up the heat on this talented play-maker.
"I would say the two schools recruiting me the hardest right now are
Georgia and Alabama. A few other schools like Auburn and Tennessee are right
behind them. Georgia is probably recruiting me the hardest overall," said
"I really don't have a favorite at all, but my top five would be
Georgia, Alabama, Auburn, Tennessee, and Florida. Georgia, Auburn, and Alabama
are above the rest right now," Kyles added.
Alabama is a new school among the favorites, and the Tide is starting to make
a strong push for his signature.
"I really like Alabama. They are showing me a lot of interest. I like
their quarterback, Brodie Croyle, and they are going to need some good receivers
next year. The coaches have told me I would come in and play and not have to
red-shirt. I would have a great chance to play for a National Championship. I
watched them this year. They throw the ball a good bit, but they will throw it a
lot more next year with Croyle. He is really good," said Kyles.
The Alabama wide receiver coach is making a strong impression with Kyles and
looking to land another talented wide receiver from a border state. Last year
Coach Harbison was successful in his efforts with three wide receivers from the
state of Florida.
"Coach Cheese (Harbison) is a really good coach. He is my recruiting
coach and position coach. I really like him a lot. He is straight forward. He
told me they will be using a lot of receivers next year and I would not be
red-shirting. I have not been able to speak with Coach Shula yet."
Kyles knows what he likes about the remaining two schools in his Top 3.
Georgia: "It's close to home and they have been recruiting me
since the tenth grade. I really like the coaching staff and I like the
Auburn: "I have always liked Auburn. They are about to win a
national championship and I just really like them."
"I am really trying to find the place I feel the most comfortable. I
want to be able to play and go somewhere I will be able to help out the most. I
am going to find the school that my family likes the most."
With two official visits confirmed, and other dates to follow, the decision
might go to signing day.
"I am going to Alabama on December 10, and I am going to Georgia on
January 23. I know I am going to go to Auburn and Tennessee sometime in January,
but a date has not been set. I am going to wait until after my visits before I
make a decision," said Kyles.
"Georgia is Probably Recruiting me the Hardest"
