New Leader for South Hot 100 DT

Jeffrey Owens is a four star defensive lineman out of Plantation, Fla.. Owens has shuffled his list of favorites after in home visits last night. Who is his new leader, and what has taken them to the top of his list?

"Georgia is my new leader," said Jeffrey Owens.

Owens is a member of the South Hot 100.

"I had been leaning to Miami early, but they haven't been on me as much lately. Then it was Florida State, but now it is Georgia. They are my new number one. They just have so much to offer."

What does Georgia have to offer that has pushed them above the Hurricanes and Seminoles?

"I really like the entire package. The coaches are great, they are really down to earth and easy to talk to. Playing time is there for me at Georgia. I felt like it was a good fit for me when up there last weekend. They just seem like the best place for me right now."

Coach Lilly of Florida State was the first to visit Mr. Owens house earlier this week, but last night, Georgia came knocking.

How did the visit go with Georgia?

"I loved it. It was a great visit. They sent four coaches (Richt, VanGorder, Garner and Martinez) down to see me and that means a lot. My family and I really loved the visit. It was great."

Owens took his first official visit of the year to Georgia last weekend. He now has Oklahoma (12/17), Miami (1/21) and Florida State (1/28) visits remaining. "The Miami and Florida State visits may be changed a little, but that is the schedule right now." said Owens.

Florida State's Coach Lilly was first in the house to see Owens, then Georgia came through last night, but Florida State is back again tonight with Coach Haggins.
