Six Visitors in Four Days for South Hot 100 DB

Bryan Evans of Jacksonville, Fla. is one of the top defensive backs not only in the south, but in the country. Evans has been selected to play in the U.S. Army All American Bowl on January 15, 2005. After returning from his visit to LSU on Sunday, Evans has had many visitors come through.

"I have had visits this week from Alabama, Tennessee, Florida, Georgia, LSU and Florida State," said Bryan Evans."

"It has been a busy week. A lot of schools come by and see me at school since I work a lot in the evenings."

LSU was Evan's first official visit last weekend and he takes a visit to Tennessee today. What is Evan's looking to get out of his visit to Knoxville?

"Just looking to see what kind of relationship I have with the players and Coaches more than anything else. I also want to know about their academics and the stability they have at my position. I am really looking forward to the trip."

LSU and Georgia have taken over the lead for Mr. Evans since the coaching change at Florida.

"Florida is still in it a little, but LSU and Georgia are my top two right now."

Why do those two lead over the others?

"I have a great relationship with the LSU staff and loved my visit there last week. Their academic center is amazing. They just spent two or three million dollars on it, so I know they are concerned with academics and that means a lot to me."

"Georgia, I have family up there, which I am close with. They are a steady team that I see being a national contender over the next four years."

Florida State will get a visit on January 28, 2005 and Georgia will get their shot at Evans on January 21, 2005. The fifth visit is still in the air. It may be Florida, but Evans is not sure.

Can Tennessee make a dent into the leaders for Mr. Evans after having him on campus this weekend? Stay tuned to Scout.com to find out.
