Dawgs get set for Wofford

Sunday, 3 p.m. Stegeman Coliseum, Athens, Ga.
Broadcast: CSS television, 960-AM
Georgia 3-3, Wofford 6-2

ABOUT GEORGIA: The Bulldogs are coming off an up and down week. Sophomore guard Levi Stukes was named the SEC Player of the Week after scoring a career-high 31 points against Oregon State. Then, sophomore Marcus Sikes was permanently dismissed from the team. Sikes had been on indefinite suspension since the preseason for academic-related issues. … Stukes' 31 points jumped him to the team lead in scoring at 15.2 points per game. He had been trailing freshman Sundiata Gaines, who is averaging 13.5 points per game.

ABOUT WOFFORD: Howard Wilkerson, a 6-foot-6 junior, leads the Terriers with 15.3 points per game and 8.5 rebounds per game. He is a reigning All-Southern Conference player and led the SoCon in rebounds in league games last year. He's the reigning SoCon player of the week and the only player in the league's top five in scoring and rebounding.

SCOUTING REPORT: Wilkerson will be a matchup problem because of his size. He's only 6-6, but he weighs 250 solid pounds, which will give him a weight and strength advantage over every Bulldog other than Dave Bliss. The problem for Georgia is Bliss has had some problems staying out of foul trouble. He'll have to play smart today because Georgia can't afford to lose even his meager offensive output.

NEXT: Georgia vs. Bethune-Cookman, Wednesday, 7:30 p.m.; Wofford vs. South Carolina, Dec. 31, 6 p.m.
