4 Star DT Ready to Commit?

Jeffrey Owens, a four star defensive lineman prospect out of Plantation High School, in Plantation, FL is on the verge of giving a verbal commitment to his favorite school.

Even though he feels he is ready to pull the trigger, he may decide to wait and take his last two visits. When will Jeffrey Owens know if he is ready to commit?

"I really want to commit here soon," said Owens. "I am just not sure if I will though. I know I have two more visits and I may want to take those first."

Owens has had Georgia in the lead since his official visit up to Athens on Thanksgiving weekend. Since then, he has tripped to Virginia Tech and is just back from a trip to Oklahoma. How did the trip to Norman go?

"It was alright. I had a pretty good time. I thought it was going to be cold there, but it wasn't too bad. Their wasn't just one or two things that stood out, it was all pretty nice."

It was thought early on to be a Miami/Florida State showdown for Mr. Owens, but it now seems that teams like Georgia and Oklahoma have jumped in the race.

"I don't want to say who I am thinking about committing to right now. If I have make my decision before visiting Miami and Florida State in January, I will make it on January 2nd at the California/Florida All Star Game. I pretty much know where I want to go though."

Mr. Owens has had two good friends commit in the last couple weeks. Spencer Adkins committed to Miami last week, Jamar Chaney committed to Georgia. Will Owens join one of his friends at those schools or go on his own to Florida State or Oklahoma?
