Georgia Commitment to Take One Extra Visit

Four star defensive lineman, Roderick Battle committed to The Georgia Bulldogs on Countdown to Signing Day about a month and a half ago. Battle seemed to be done with recruiting and heading to Athens, but now Mr. Spurrier has arrived in Columbia and South Carolina will get a visit. How serious is Battle looking at South Carolina?

"I am going to visit South Carolina officially January 7th," said Roderick Battle.

"They have been calling me a lot wanting me to visit, so I decided to give them a look."

Does Battle really think he could end up in Columbia instead of Athens?

"It would be very difficult for South Carolina to pull me away from Georgia. I told Coach Stockhill that, and he still wanted me to come up there and give them a look."

One thing that could be in Gamecocks favor is Kenny McKinley. McKinley is committed to South Carolina and happens to be one of Battle's closest friends. Battle and McKinley will be in Columbia on the 7th together taking their visits.

When it is all said and done it looks like Battle will remain a Bulldog…

"I am solid to Georgia, and I'm about one hundred percent sure that is where I will sign."

This four star recruit is committed to Georgia (official visit 1/14), but will be visiting Columbia on January 7, 2005. All things point to Battle remaining a Dawg, but you never can count out the ole ball coach Steve Spurrier.

Make sure you stay tuned to for all the latest on Mr. Battle.
