Gators? Dawgs? Vols?

Vladimir Richard is a four star prospect out of Piper High School in Sunrise, Florida. Richard committed to the Florida Gators back in the summer of 2004. Since that time Florida has had a coaching change and Richards has opened things back up. He still considers himself a soft verbal to the Gators, but what other two schools is he looking hard at?

"I still somewhat committed to Florida," Vladimir Richard said.

"I guess I am like a soft verbal right now."

What other two schools have the best chance of taking this four star defensive lineman away from the Gators?

"Georgia and Tennessee are the other two schools I am really looking at. They would be in the top three with Florida."

"It is pretty safe to say that I will sign with one of those three schools. The SEC is where the (best) ball is played and that is where I want to play."

What does he like about his top three?

Florida: "They have a great school, get a good education, football atmosphere and they have a very loud stadium."

Georgia: "Great tradition, winning big since Coach Richt took over, top notch program and put guys in the NFL."

Tennessee: "Great fans, academics and good coaching staff"

Richard took his official visit to Tennessee back in November and has trips to Georgia (1/14) and Florida (1/28) set up for this month.

Vladimir Richard took part in the sixth annual Florida / California All Star game last weekend and feels he did pretty well…

"I think I did well. I played a little defensive end and defensive tackle, so that was good experience. I had to learn both positions."

Where does Richard feel he'll play in college?

"I am about 6'3 and 265 pounds right now, so I think I may start at defensive end and may end up moving inside."

Mr. Richard continues to be committed to the Gators, but can the Vols or Dawgs turn him away?
