TKO Down to Five

Tavares Kearney is a linebacker out of Atlanta, GA that has continuously rose up the recruiting charts this year. Kearney now has his test score and is down to four schools. Who has made his final cut?

"It is down to South Carolina, Ohio State, Georgia and Florida," said Tavares Kearney.

Kearney took his first official visit last weekend up to South Carolina and will leave Saturday morning for Ohio State.

"South Carolina kind of blew me away. It was my first official visit so I kind of expected that. I am going to Ohio State this weekend to see what they are all about."

After his trip to Columbus, Ohio, Kearney will finish out his visit with a trip to Georgia (1/21) and possibly Florida.

"Florida offered me last weekend and Georgia came by my school and said they would have an offer for me if I come up for a visit next weekend."

"I have a little over twenty offers now, but it is down to those four."

What is it about those four schools that has put them in his final four?

South Carolina: "been with me from the start and also like the coaches and campus."

Ohio State: "big school, tradition and I like Coach Tucker (recruiting coach)"

Georgia: "home school, close by and have friends (Thomas Brown) there."

Florida: "I am from Miami and I did like Coach Locksley, but he is now gone to Illinois." When could Kearney have his mind made up?

"I may know after my Georgia visit, so I am still not sure if I will take the visit to Florida or not. If I feel I need to then I will, if not then I won't."

This quick linebacker out of Tucker High School is being recruited to play strong safety for Ohio State and outside linebacker by the other schools.

This four star LB out of GA is down to four. Will it be the Gamecocks, Buckeyes, Bulldogs or Gators?
