"I Can't Wait"

Roderick Battle, a four star defensive line prospect out of Douglass High School in Atlanta, GA committed to Georgia a little over a month ago. Battle decided to take a visit to South Carolina last week and then he turned around and visited Georgia this past weekend. Did this visit re-affirm Battle's commitment to Georgia?

"It was a great visit. It was way better than South Carolina for me", said Roderick Battle.

What really stood out to Mr. Battle?

"It was all very nice, but the facilities, the people (other recruits and current players) and the food all were great. I just can't wait to get up there and start working. I am ready to go now.

One thing that kind of stood out unexpected was the dining hall in the new dorms. It looks like we have our own Golden Corral. I can see now how these guys gain weight when they get up here."

Battle leaves no doubt that he is a Bulldog…

"I knew Georgia was the place for me, but this visit just finalized that."

Thomas Flowers was the host of Battle, but he got to hang out with a lot of different Bulldogs.

"I had a great time, and it all started Friday when I got there. I got there and went in and talked with Coach Richt for a while. They usually do that on Sunday, but Coach had to leave out Sunday for the Hula Bowl, so he talked to all of us on Friday instead.

On Saturday, got up and ate breakfast with all the coaches and recruits at the hotel. We then went and toured the campus, academic center and went tot the basketball game. After the game, we met with some academic advisors and then headed over to the Stadium. We got to check out the locker rooms and walk on the field. Then we went up to the skybox and had dinner.

Later that night, we went out on the town with our host and other players and had a great time.

It was a great visit, and I am ready to be a Bulldog."

Georgia is bringing Battle in to play defensive end.
