Bulldogs or Buckeyes?

Tavares Kearney, an athletic linebacker is coming off his third official visit in as many weekends. First, it was a visit to South Carolina, then to Ohio State and this weekend, he tripped to the home state school, the Georgia Bulldogs. How did his visit to Athens go and is he closer to making his decision?

"It was a real good visit", said Tavares Kearney.

What were some of the things that stood out to Kearney about his trip to Athens?

"I like all the coaches and the players. They are real cool. The living quarters were very nice and they have great academics also."

Who was the host of this hard hitting linebacker?

"Thomas Brown (former teammate at Tucker) was my host. He took me out on the town and everything. I also hung out with Danny Ware, D.J. Shockley, Demario Minter, Tyson Browning and Josh Johnson."

Last week, Coach Garner of Georgia came by and let Kearney know that he wouldn't leave Athens without an offer in hand. Did Kearney get that offer he was promised?

"Yes, they offered me while I was there."

About a week ago, it was a top three for TKO. Then, in the middle of last week, he dropped South Carolina and it became a two team race. It was down to Georgia and Ohio State. Is he ready to name one of those schools as his leader?

"Those are still my top two right now. I am going home this week and will have Coach Richt and Coach Tressel come by for in home visits. Then, I will sit down with my mom and figure everything out. Right now they are even."

There is still a chance of this Georgia linebacker taking one last trip, but Kearney says odds are that won't happen…

"I don't want to totally rule it out, but right now I doubt I visit anywhere else."

It looks like Kearney will be wearing silver britches and red jerseys next year in college. Will it be for the Buckeyes of Ohio State or the Georgia Bulldogs?
