"I'm committed to Georgia," said Darius Dewberry. "I picked them because every time I went up there, they had great fan support. A.J. Bryant is one of my close friends and he went up there. I'm looking forward to playing with him again."
Dewberry has been committed to Georgia for some time, but like his commitment
waited until today, his time at Georgia will be postponed by a year.
"I'm going to Hargrave next year first," added Dewberry.
Georgia has had extremely good luck with players that went to the Virginia Prep
School after falling just short of qualifying. Danny Ware and Leonard Pope both
spent a year at Hargrave before coming back to star for Georgia. Dewberry is
looking forward to getting back to Athens.
"I play hard," Dewberry answered when asked what the Georgia fans
could expect from him. "I'll be committed to football, and I'll be
committed in the classroom."
Georgia is currently ranked the #3 team in the country by Scout.com, and adding
a 5 star player the caliber of Darius Dewberry is only going to solidify that
Top 5 National Ranking.
