Top RB Visits The Classic City

Heard County standout Carlos Brown is already a hot commodity amongst college recruiters as he holds 3 offers to his credit thus far. This weekend, he took a trip to visit one of his favorite schools when he made the trip east to Athens, GA.

"I went to Athens this weekend. It was really nice. I got to meet all the coaches except Coach Richt. We talked about a lot of things and how good I would fit in at Georgia," Carlos Brown said.

What was the best part of the trip?

"My favorite part was just the whole thing. It's a nice place with the facilities and all. The weight room was real nice. I saw a list of how strong they were on the wall and it was just unreal. I saw Thomas Brown benches 390 and I was like man, I can't believe that's right. Also I saw where Reggie Brown was like running in the low 4.3's and stuff like that."

Has this visit changed things on his leader board?

"I like Georgia Tech, Ohio State, Auburn, Miami and Georgia. I have offers Michigan State, Georgia Tech and Duke. I still don't have a leader just yet."

What stands out about each of those institutions?

GT: "I just like the city like atmosphere."

OSU: "I'm just used to watching them play and everything."

AU: "They have a good program running down there right now and it seems like a good place I'd fit in."

UM: "Just look at it. It's a beautiful place."

UGA: "Same as Auburn really. It ain't far from home and it's a nice campus."

What is Carlos seeking most in a school?

"I just want to go someplace where a team has a good chance to do something real big. I also want a good education."

How would he assess his strengths vs. his weaknesses?

"I feel like I have real good vision, but what I need to improve on is acceleration. I just need to get the ball and go. I want to punish some people."

Any preference for a certain brand of offensive philosophy at the next level?

"I've always played with a fullback so that's what I'm used to. I love that I-formation."

Where will Brown camp this summer?

"I'm going to camp everywhere I possibly can. I know I'm going to Georgia, Auburn and Georgia Tech. I'll probably camp at most of the schools in the southeast."
