Georgia Linebacker has 2 Big Offers

Toryan Smith was the leader on defense of a tremendous Rome team that posted a 10-0 regular season before dropping a heart breaker to eventual state champion Warner Robins in the playoffs. Smith had 112 tackles with 19 for loss, eight sacks, and three interceptions, and he has already picked up two big offers.

" Michigan and Alabama have offered me scholarships," said Toryan Smith. "I've also been receiving letters from teams like Georgia, Auburn, LSU, USC, Ohio State and Duke."

Smith has family ties to the University of Georgia, but it was another school that held his attention while he was growing up.

"My dad Charles played at Georgia from 1980 to 1983. My favorite team growing up though was Florida State."

While Florida State was his favorite growing up, Smith patterns his game after another former Bulldog.

"I like Kendrell Bell. He's no the fastest linebacker, but he just makes plays with no wasted motion."

Smith did a good job of describing himself. At 6-0 and 240 pounds, Smith is a big middle linebacker that can also play fullback on the next level. He is a three sport star that also plays basketball and baseball. Smith is a good student that has better than a 3.0 GPA and has made a qualifying ACT score.
