Big Mapp Still Favor the Dawgs?

Lionell Mapp is a name that's been talked a lot about on the Scout.com network since he weighed in at a massive 370lbs at the Kennedy/CES Combine in January. Does his favorites list still have the Dawgs on top of the heap?

"I like Georgia, Florida and Florida State. Georgia is my favorite," Lionell Mapp said.

Why do the Dawgs still hold the firm advantage?

"Ever since I was little I've liked them. They've been talking to me about offering me too."

With Mark Richt's squad holding such a big lead from early on, might a commitment be on the horizon when/if UGA chooses to offer?

"I don't know right now if I'll commit early. I may want to take some visits first."

What stands out about the Gators and Seminoles?

"I've liked Florida since I was small too. It was always them and Georgia. With Florida State, they just always have had a good team."

What is the big fella seeking most in a school?

"I'm looking at the education and where they're located. I want to stay close to home."

Mapp is gearing up the track and field season at this time.

"I'm getting ready for track season. I throw the shot put. I went to State last year. I came in 8th last year with like a 48 foot throw. This year I'm going to break 50."
