Three Offers For Top Georgia Prospect

Marcus Ball is one of the top players in the Peach State and so far in the process he's been keeping his options fairly open. Since we last spoke, he's picked up three offers. Who's jumped on board?

"I'm looking at the three Florida schools, LSU, USC, Texas, N.C. State, Georgia, Georgia Tech and Tennessee. It's still wide open. Georgia, LSU and Duke have offered me," Marcus Ball said.

Does he know where he'll camp?

"I don't even know about college camps yet. I haven't really looked at any."

What's he looking for most in a school?

"I'm looking at academics, the graduation rate, the coaches, the depth chart and the folks in the school. The scheme and all that also."

Marcus is versatile enough to play a number of positions at the next level. Where are most schools recruiting him at currently?

"I think most of the folks want me to play linebacker. Ohio State is recruiting me at running back, but I'm pretty sure I'll end up at linebacker or safety when I get to college."

Stephenson High School kicks off the track season on Wednesday.

"I run the 400 the 200 and the 100 meters. We've got a meet with Towers and McNair tomorrow."

What are his goals for this season?

"I want to the win the state this year. Nothing less. This is my senior year. I feel we've had the best team for the last five seasons, but for whatever reason it all just hasn't come together."

Ball knows one Junior Day destination.

"I'm going to A-Day down at Auburn. I'm going to look at everything while I'm there. The facilities, the team and the coaches."
