Gwinnett WR Working Hard

Crawford Kilpatrick is one of the top wide receivers in the Peach State and the Boston transplant is drawing interest from schools up and down the east coast. Who is he favoring at this time?

"I like Ohio State, South Carolina, Auburn, Florida and Georgia. Duke and Maryland have offered," Crawford Kilpatrick said.

Crawford has no leader at this time but lists the following reasons for why he chose each of his top 5.

Ohio State: "They just have a winning tradition."

South Carolina: "I like Steve Spurrier and his offense."

Auburn: "They're one of those winning schools."

Florida: "They have Urban Meyer now and I like the location."

Georgia: "I really like their campus and they're winning a whole lot."

How would Kilpatrick compare his high school football experience in Massachusetts to his experiences in Georgia?

"There's not really any comparison to the football between the two. The guys down here are a lot bigger than they are up there and a lot better overall."

The North Gwinnett standout has attended two junior days thus far.

"I've been to Duke and Georgia for junior days. I liked Duke's campus a lot and the people there. I loved the campus and the program at Georgia as well. I'm also going to Auburn and Florida for junior days in the next couple of weeks."

Any camp plans for Crawford?

"I'm going to a couple of combines including the next Combine in Gwinnett."

With no baseball or track season to worry about, Kilpatrick is working out full time with the training staff at Competitive Edge Sports in Duluth, GA.

"I'm just working out at CES three days a weak. I'm already making a good bit of improvement. I've dropped my forty time down almost .06 already."
