Battle's MRI negative; will return this spring

ATHENS – When Georgia returns from spring break so will a player that is at the top of the rover depth chart.

Tra Battle, who sat out of Monday's practice and today's with a back injury suffered during a car accident Sunday night, will return to practice after spring break.

"The MRI was negative," said Battle. "I'll miss tomorrow, but I'll be back after spring break."

Battle dressed in the green non-contact jersey for tonight's practice, but he did not participate in drills. He started one game in 2004 and has 26 total tackles, two tackles-for-loss, and three pass breakups in his career. He his currently the number one rover in front of Antonio Sims on Georgia's depth chart.
