Huge Alabama OL Names Top 5

Josh Hawkins of Greenville High School in Alabama is a massive offensive line prospect at 6-7 and 295 pounds. After a solid senior season, Hawkins was selected to play in the North/South Alabama Junior All-Star game where he had an outstanding performance. From his guard position, he dominated his opposition, and opened some eyes across the country. Who is looking at Hawkins, and who is he looking at?

"I haven't gotten any offers yet, but I've been getting letters from teams like Auburn, Alabama, Clemson, LSU, Florida, Illinois, Arkansas, West Virginia, and Tennessee," said Josh Hawkins. "Auburn was my favorite team growing up, and I got to go to their Spring Game last weekend. I got to meet with Coach Tuberville, Coach Whitt, and I also talked to Marcus McNeil at the game."

Who else has caught the eye of the big lineman?

"My Top 5 right now is Auburn, LSU, Clemson, Alabama, and Georgia."

What does Hawkins like about each of his favorites?

Auburn - I grew up a fan of Auburn.
LSU - They have a great football tradition and a great gameday atmosphere.
Clemson - They also have a great gameday tradition, and they were the first school to send me a letter.
Alabama - They're close to home and have a great football history.
Georgia - They recruit some of the best linemen in the southeast, and they send players to the NFL in big numbers.

Hawkins has yet to finalize his summer camp plans, but he has a pretty good idea of where he would like to go.

"I'll go to the Auburn camp, because it's close to home. I also want to go to the Clemson camp if I can. They're really the ones that are recruiting me the hardest right now."

Hawkins played guard in the North/South game, and he would need to get a little quicker to play tackle. What was evidence about him in the game though, was that he absolutely dominated the man in front of him. He is at left guard in these quick clips. See him in action in this presentation by ScoutTV.
