On the Move

Cameron Smith is one of the top running backs in the state of Georgia, and once George Pugh took a job with UAB, Smith began looking for a new coach to play for as the blue chip back approaches his crucial senior year. He has recently found a new home.

"We're moving into the Brookwood district today," said Cameron Smith. "You actually caught me right in the middle of moving. We're trying to get over there before they have spring practice so I can get a head start on things. I want to try and help make something special happen there."

With the recruiting process coming full bore at Smith, it was not the ideal situation for him to be in at Meadowcreek with no head coach in place, and Coach Mark Crews is a veteran in the process that can help guide smith through the rough waters of college recruiting.

"It's been crazy man. I picked up a whole new stack of letters today. I can't really say I have a favorite. I've just been concentrated on trying to get settled in someplace new."

Smith was a great talent on a bad team last year, and he took advantage of his talent to help decide on a school he felt more comfortable with for this year. That will be good experience for him as he goes through the college recruiting experience and has to make another decision by February.

If you haven't seen Smith in action, here are several highlights of him as a junior at Meadowcreek available to Total Access Pass Subscribers.
