This action is taken in accordance with Southeastern Conference Constitution, Article 4.4.3 (d) which states that a student-athlete may be suspended if it is determined that the student-athlete has committed a flagrant or unsportsmanlike act.
Daniels Suspended by Kramer again
BIRMINGHAM, Ala. -- Upon review of game tapes of the men's basketball game between the University of Georgia and Auburn University played in Auburn, Ala., on Saturday, February 9, 2002, Southeastern Conference Commissioner Roy Kramer has announced that Georgia forward Chris Daniels has been suspended for the first half of the February 16 Kentucky-Georgia game. This action was the result of a flagrant, unsportsmanlike act which occurred during the first half of the Georgia-Auburn game.
