Georgia Men and Women Move Up in Latest Trackwire

Bulldogs and Lady Bulldogs both match season-high rankings

ATHENS, Ga. -- The University of Georgia men's and women's track and field squads both improved their national rankings in the latest Trackwire 25 poll released Tuesday. The men moved to 15th, up from 17th a week ago. The women re-entered the poll tied for 25th.

The men's latest ranking matches their season-high, as they ranked 15th in the first poll of the year, released Jan. 15. The women also matched their season-high, previously ranking 25th in the poll released Jan. 29.

The top four spots in the men's rankings are SEC schools, with eight total conference members in the top 25. Three of the top four schools in the women's poll are from the SEC, with six conference members in the top 25.

The Georgia men and women compete at the SEC Indoor Track and Field Championships this weekend, Friday-Sunday, Feb. 22-24 in Fayetteville, Ark.
