Georgia is one of the hottest teams in the country and have landed six verbal commitments. Ricks considers the Bulldogs as one of his favorites.
"I really like Georgia," he said. "They have a good team. I think they will have a good team the next four years. I haven't been over there yet or met any of the coaches. I will probably take a visit over there this summer."
Ricks has narrowed his college list and said, "My top four would be Alabama, Auburn, Georgia, and Tennessee. I don't have an overall favorite. I am wide open between those four schools. I have offers from all four."
Ricks added, "I am in no hurry to make a decision. It will be after my season before I think about making a decision."
Ricks explains why he likes his other top three schools.
Alabama: "I like the coaching staff a lot. It's also not far away from home."
Auburn: "I like the coaching staff and the players. My brother (Courtney Harden) plays on the football team."
Tennessee: "I like their coaching staff."
Despite having family in Auburn, Ricks claims it will not play a big factor in his decision. He said, "It's good to have a brother playing down there. It might have a little influence on me, but I don't think it will be much."
During the spring, several coaches have made their phone calls to Ricks. One college coach spoke with him today. "I just got off the phone with Coach (Chris) Ball from Alabama," Ricks said. "He called to see how everything was going and how interested I was in Alabama. Coach Ball is a nice person. I like him a lot. I told him I was very interested in Alabama. I have also received calls from LSU, Louisville, and Ole Miss."
When asked about his spring game he said, "I did alright in our spring game against Brooks. I scored a touchdown. I was playing tight end, and I caught a pass for a touchdown. I am starting at tight end this fall. We were winning the game 26-0, but we let them come back. We ended up winning the game though. Overall, I think spring training this year went pretty good."
