ScoutTV Presents Top Georgia Lineman

Chris Davis is a tight end with enough athleticism to split out wide for Jefferson High School, but his size at 6-5 and 250 pounds lends to the belief that he will be an offensive tackle on the college level. He certainly has the mean streak to play offensive line, and he shows it several times in this presentation by ScoutTV.

Troy State had already offered big Chris Davis a scholarship, and Georgia became the first SEC school to jump on board. If more schools had seen film of the Jefferson High School star, there's little doubt that Georgia would not be with it's offer among SEC Schools.

Davis plays tight end, and he isn't content with the first block. He is always looking to hit someone. He can knock down his man, and seek out another. He is athletic enough that he splits out wide and can still get to the defensive backs for blocks.

During this game at Lumpkin County, he did not drop a pass thrown his way and showed exceptional hands.

But it's at the more coveted left tackle position that Davis' future lies, and the way he takes pride in his blocking, getting him to make that transition on the next level should not be a problem.

#12 TE Chris Davis
