Tucker Star Visits UGA

The southeast region is typically one of the first places college recruiters go looking when their in the market for speed and one of the players who has drawn a lot of their attention thus far in the recruiting process is Georgia's Asher Allen. This weekend the Tucker standout stayed home and made the short trip eastbound to check out the Georgia Bulldogs. What were his impressions?

"I went over to Georgia this weekend. It was really nice. They showed me some new stuff they are building over there. I got to watch some film with Coach Martinez. It was really, really fun. I've been up there so many times that not much is really new to me though," Asher Allen said.

The CB prospect did get a bit of unexpected news while in the Classic City.

"I figured out that Jeff Owens is my cousin. I didn't know that. Were all related to Michael Irvin. It's a wild thing. It's hard to explain."

How did this trip compare to the one he took last weekend to Baton Rouge, LA?

"It was lots of the same stuff as LSU. The only thing that made LSU different was that it was my first time seeing at their campus and it was my first real out of town visit at all. Georgia just feels like home."

What other schools will get visits from Asher in the coming weeks?

"I don't really have any other visits planned. I just got back from LSU and I was at Georgia this weekend. I'm going to the 7 on 7 at Auburn on Thursday and the 16th is Georgia's 7 on 7 camp."

Allen denies a leader at this juncture.

"A lot of schools in the ACC and the SEC are still in there. To a point I'm pretty open but I know that I want to stay in the southeastern region."
